The short, incomplete answer is to use the AGC-T control as RF-Gain.

    Hi Bill

As you are new to FlexRadio, I highly recommend you watch these videos especially the one on AGC-T which replaces RF Gain. Direct Sampling Radio have no requirement for an RF gain control **** the physics is different.

Even this is 'dated' it is still current.

Feel free to ask more questions. 73

HIi Rick/Bill.. the RF Gain control under the ANT buttons control the amount of pre-amp gain provided to the Digital-Analog-Converters the antennae are connected to. Kind of like the 'pre-amp' buttons/selections on analog radios. There are various 'stages' of gain to can apply, and there are 'How To' articles here

    "How To" Articles – FlexRadio

on how to set the amount of RF Gain to apply for each band conditions.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Arnold… as I mentioned, there's actually a "how to" article regarding setting the RF Gain for each band/conditions here:

How to Determine the Correct Amount of RF Preamp Gain for Different Band Conditions – FlexRadio

It's really good about explaining when and where to use RF Gain.
