WNB automatically shutting off

Hello,
I am trying to use the WNB however the application I am using can scan multiple frequencies/bands. Even though I am only "scanning" one at the moment, each cycle removes the WNB setting.
How can I make the WNB remain enabled when using an app that like this?
Software is RMS Tri-Mode with Ardop. (for Winlink)
Additional observation:
NB stays enabled, but NB is not suitable for my operating location.
WNB continues to disable automatically.

The Wide Noise Blanker involves a lot of processing power since it samples a LOT of radio spectrum in order to make it function. If you listen, it takes about 1/2 sec to engage in order to build the sample data.
It is really not something that would work well with scanning.

Thank you for the reply Mike. The latency and working well wasn't as much of my concern. It automatically turns off every cycle. I was hoping for a way to keep it enabled per band or per frequency. If it's not possible, that's fine.
I will see if I can find a work around for the situation. That would depend on the capabilities of the software I'm trying to use.0
