I put the display as dim as it can go and turn off the button backlighting. Via the panel display "menu". When I'm controlling the radio directly rather than with SmartSDR, I use an external monitor so I rarely look at the display. Probably makes little difference as far as power consumption or longevity, but it looks better (to me) and it's easy to turn it up if I want to use the display. Mark wd9jen.

Thank you Mark; given I operate the radio remotely I never or rarely have occasion to look at the front screen. Just trying g to minimize unnecessary wear.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
