Radio - 6500 Software Ver. - 1.8.4 3 problems to report on the Maestro 1. When I initially turn the unit on, I get a pan adapter, spectral info and an empty slice flag. The radio was shutdown with a frequency of 14.076 for JT65 work. If I select the slice flag enumerator (A) sometimes it will correct itself and show the info the radio was shutdown with. 2. The XIT function does not work when a single slice is present. Selecting XIT with the red lite on, turning the frequency knob to displace the frequency causes the slice frequency to change. Adding a second slice on the same pan adapter, causes the XIT function to work normally. 3. On initial startup after selecting Ver. 1.8.4, the update info will read (3 of 4) please wait. After indicating approximately 1/4 of update the radio will start. Reverted back to version 1.7.32, everything is normal. Thanks

Bob,
Item 2. New to 1.8, wIth a single slice open, the B knob will control the RIT or XIT of VFO A

1 + 3 sound like a WiFi / E-link error at startup. I've seen similar when I've been the network configuration around. #3 seems harmless although it causes one to pause in brief anxiety.
Good luck on 1.7.32 it's 1.8.4 at the station here as items 1 & 3 are no-issue and #2 works as Al points out.

Not the case. !.7.3 starts up correctly everytime.0

Is that documented anywhere?0

I think it should have been in the release notes but I don't see it .. It is in the change log included with 1.8.4. I haven't looked in the user guide.

Did you try doing a factory reset?
That may be the cure, it was for me anyway.
