Straight key with pc running SSDR remotely

I am wondering if it is possible somehow to use a straight key with a pc running SSDR at a remote location from my 6600.  I know that I could use the CWX feature, but it would be nice to use my straight key or bug.

As I think about it, I should be able to use a USB adapter of some kind to connect the key to the PC.  However, I don't see anything in SSDR that would allow me to use the input for CW.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
John

Hi John, without commenting if this is possible or not (look at my post about using a paddle), to allow the radio to transmit with a straight key just disable the internal automatic keyer and use the RTTY rear connector. (SmartSDR software guide, Para 24.5)

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
