Lucky guy.  I was hoping that some members here could post when they get their invoices and the date they ordered a Maestro.  That way, we can all gauge the progress without bothering anyone at Flex like they requested.

Another reference date.  I place my order July 8, 2015.  I have not received an invoice.  Patiently waiting.

1. No OFFICAL announcement by FRS that they have started shipping.
2. No "me too's" like it was when people started to be invoiced.
3. OP never mentions receiving a tracking number. Which would be issued if, indeed he had a shipment from FRS on the way.
4. He has yet, to post again. So, it's simple, he's simply posting to watch people get excited for nothing.
My defination of a hoax. And a poorly executed one at that.

Except I was wrong Howard.
He gave his tracking number and it proved, that at the very least, his shipment was submitted to UPS electronically, for pickup and shipment. Not exactly in route, but certainly further along than some, or most of us.

I was invoiced, I modified my invoice for folding legs, FRS reinvoiced me within 24 hrs, I paid and am now waiting for tracking #. I ordered at Dayton last year. When it gets here it gets here! Probably in the next 2 weeks.

Well I guess we can look for software release soon, Maestro won't be of much value without software update.

I don't remember the day or hour but it was the same day the announcement was made for Maestro availbility. I also paid in full within minutes of getting the invoice.

So, prove it. Post your tracking number from UPS. Then it will be easy to see if you are telling the truth.

Confirmed over night. (Doesn't show from) Please accept my apology. I am surprised FRS has not announced shipping starting and no one else has said they too have received notice of Maestro shipment.

How can I be the Curmudgeon of the Year Award when I love reading the posts about the joyous hams that have waited patiently to receive their Maestros? (and the one that paid an additional $150 for quicker gratification).
And to Steve yes he can spend his money however he wishes but he made a public post and I am not allowed an opinion? Sadly we live in a society of NOW, NOW and that bothers me, on the other hand I express my opinion that I love seeing the joy of those posts of hams that are relishing their new "toy." (actually far more than a toy, a technical marvel). Post more pictures, make videos, I read them all.

Burt your posts on this topic entertain me, On one hand you apprecieate the product and on the other you are clearly not in favor of people trying to take a couple of days off of close to a year of waiting for something.
I don't totally disagree on people wanting "Instant gratification" but i would say this isn't a case of that. And you as well as everyone else are certainly entitled to an opinion.
I type this light heatedly so please dont take it as a dig against you.

@Burt

I said you were trying to get back into the running for Curmudgeon of the Year 2016 but usually my friends like Dennis N6KI or Mitch K6BK or Paul NN6X easily beat you out for the top three places on my annual list...

By comparison, you are sweet and cuddly...

Instant Gratification..  Most of the people on this Community are collecting Social Security.. Instant Gratification may not be soon enough for the time we have left to accomplish everything on our bucket lists.... so you should not begrudge the fact that people send a few shekels to get things sooner... I know I usually do....

I get that our time is limited and even though I could afford almost any car made I choose to drive a Prius. So you can see why spending $150 to get it a few days early bothers me. I can afford the Maestro at $1200 but won't buy one until the price goes back to $999, which is as likely as me getting a job at the ARRL.

I'll bite.....

UPS has 444,000 employees, I think it is great that OP cares about the well being of so many by keeping their industry and business profitable.

Maybe we should all order overnight delivery!!

Do you  know how much of your $1 donation really goes to the cause of a charity?? Besides Red Cross that has very little overhead (about %5) many "charities" spend over 30% of that dollar on themselves, and that is reputable charities.... not the large number of scam charities. Some more info (http://charity.lovetoknow.com/What_Percentage_of_Donations_Go_to_Charity)

And when you donate.... do you deduct it from your taxes?? Because that is very unfortunate that you should deduct money that can go to the general pot that pays for roads, bridges, schools, defense.... etc...

Point of all of this... if someone else's use of their hard earned $$ bothers you, the best course of action is to keep it to yourself. We can all come up with logical reasons where money could be "better" spent.... but do that with your money... not mine.

Yes I looked down the page and saw that. Again, I'm surprised FRS has not made any announcement. You'd think they would want everyone to know shipping has started.

I have just received my Maestro. I think the knobs are too big and too shiny; I don't like the S-meter colors; the plastic feels too much like plastic; and my microphone plug will not fit.

Am I a bad person?

When I see a NEW software release related to Maestro I'll know Maestro has shipped or about to. Until then it's nothing but rumor. Why would anyone claim something knowing it's not true? Reminds me of the Lottery winner, that worked at a fast food place, claimed to have the winning ticket, then lost it. What some people will do for a few minutes of attention.

Just so everyone is aware of what is transpiring, we are pre-printing shipping labels.  If you happen to be registered with UPS, you may get a notification that a package will be shipped to you.  This will be for the correct tracking number for your Maestro, but it will not be shipped the same day the label is printed, necessarily.  So a note from UPS doesn't mean your Maestro has shipped, unless it shows the pickup from UPS.  Make sense?

I had wondered if it could be something like that.
Not knowing the procedure for shipping like a company would do, I also thought maybe in the proccess of printing shipping labels, someone accidently hit Send, and the info was sent to UPS and their system automatically sends out a notification when shipping info arrives. I have received notices prior to actual shipment before. He posted his tracking number(at my request) and it showed first shipping label printed, then later, ready fo pickup by UPS.
Thanks for clearing things up.
James
