PocketSDR for Android - Native Flex 6000/8000/Aurora client

PocketSDR is now available on the Google Play and Amazon AppStore for your favorite Android devices.

This is a native FlexRadio Android client written from the ground up. This initial release has quite a few features but we will be adding more shortly including FT8/FT4/JT modes support, PSK, Logbook, and more!

    Is there a way to minimize the slice flag to just frequency?

    double tap slice flag and it turns into a mini flag.

    Many thanks for the great application, as it's working very nicely.

    Is there a place we should send you comments for things we may find or wish list options etc… ?

    ie.. adding FDVU and FDVL to the mode selections for FreeDV. :)

    All the best, and this really is very much appreciated, as many of us have been waiting a very long time to take advantage of our Android devices.

    Bugfix release going out hopefully today. Has a few important fixes including better Bluetooth device selection, tuning fixes, and radio discovery logic. Will be in the Play Store and Amazon.

    Also has an audio level calibration feature - set perfect audio levels per device easily.

    Bugfix 26.6.1-19 is live on Google Play and Amazon Appstore.

    MIDI CW paddles also work in progress. Works but at low speed. Will also have a HaliKey serial to work on serial port CW.

    I'll be headed off to Germany next week so I expect the next release to be soon after I return.

    Changelog:

    Radio Startup And Profiles

    • Fixed profile reload/startup behavior so the active profile state is applied more reliably.
    • Improved panadapter drag/tune behavior to avoid jumping back to center while dragging.
    • Improved remembered display/audio/settings restoration across reconnects.

    Aurora / Meters / UI

    • Added or refined Aurora-related meter/status handling.
    • Polished several control layouts and UI behaviors.
    • Hid FM-incompatible DSP/noise-reduction controls from FM slices and slice flags.

    Audio

    • Added/refined local mic calibration.
    • Mic calibration now samples from a 0 dB baseline before calculating saved gain.
    • Improved audio device handling and Bluetooth audio recovery.
    • Added better persistence/handling for audio-related settings.

    FM / Repeater / Memories

    • Fixed FM repeater offset restore so stored offset state is applied properly.
    • Improved repeater-related restore behavior after reconnect/startup.

    Discovery / Connection

    • Fixed LAN rediscovery: stale radios can disappear, and if they come back with the same announce payload they now reappear.
    • Added deterministic SmartSDR license refresh after startup, with retry, which fixed Fire tablet license fields staying Pending.
    • Expanded SmartSDR license parsing for newer/FlexLib field names.

    Controllers

    • Added PTT support for MIDI controllers (eg HaliKey).

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
