I dont have an exact answer for this question but people.... i emphatically recommend after removing all older versions of ssdr.. including cat dax vsp drivers and then rebooting. DO NOT go backwards. You've done it 8 billion times before when things seem wonky. But you are adding bad variables back into the equasion. Creating a lot of junk. Its probably just turned off...

I have not gone backwards so I am not sure I understand your comment. I did submit a help ticket and Tim asked me to follow the cold boot and factory reset procedure. It did not fix the issue and I am awaiting further instructions from Tim.

Mike-VA3MW Administrator, FlexRadio Employee, Community Manager, Super Elmer, Moderator adminOptionsWhile we do recommend removing all previous versions, it is not a 100% requirement. I ran both for months as they don't really impact each other.
We recommend removing it just to make things less confusing with many sound endpoints.
No sound and no waterfall sound like 2 different things. Windows likes changing your default sound devices, so check that first and make sure your default speakers are still your default speakers.
Next, it sounds like Windows Firewall is blocking some of the networking of the waterfall (the Vita49 packets). Try turning off your Windows firewall and see if that resolves it.

So I solved my problem. A Google search turned up a post from over a year ago where someone mentioned a similar issue with no waterfall. He said turning off Tailscale solved his issue. So I tried it and voila, problem solved. Not yet had the time to look into why Tailscale would interfere with the waterfall but I am posting this here is case it might be helpful for someone else when they search this issue.

Hi there :-) I have a WireGuard VPN set up on a MikroTik router, connecting to an external VPS server with a static public IP address.
I can successfully connect my FlexRadio 8400 through the VPN, but I'm experiencing exactly the same issue: no UDP traffic is being received on my Mac. In other words, the radio connects, but no audio or data streams are transferred via UDP.
I know my LTE provider uses CGNAT, but that's exactly why I built this setup with the VPS and WireGuard tunnel.
At this point I'm getting quite desperate. Do you have any ideas what could be causing this, or what I should check next? regards max0
