For some reason I can't find the correct area to download the Waveform Installer. Can someone give me a hint/link?

    "To get started, download the Docker container from https://github.com/drowe67/freedv-gui/releases/download/v2.3.0/freedv-waveform-2.3.0.tar.gz and follow the instructions over  https://github.com/drowe67/freedv-gui/blob/master/src/integrations/flex/README.md . (In short, go to Tools->Waveforms in SmartSDR, make sure Docker is selected and install the downloaded file from the first link; after a bit you'll be able to select FDVU or FDVL modes on your active transmit slice and begin operating.) The FreeDV FlexRadio integration also includes support for FreeDV Reporter (https://qso.freeedv.org/), which means you'll be able to spot FreeDV signals that you receive over the air and get a live view of what's currently happening in FreeDV."

    Just download the freedv-waveform-2.3.0.tar.gz link above and install it from the SSDR Files>Waveforms window with the Docker option.

    Al - thanks for help- got it installed - a couple of other DV related questions

    • If you are using SSDR DV - do you show up on FreeDV Reporter?
    • What triggers that?
    • Change subject - using FreeDV 2.1.0 which I had working but now it is not
    • When i go to Tools> Easy Setup > Radio device - the only option showing is (multiple) ; there is nothing else available in the drop down- No DAX choices.
    • I am running 4.2.18 on an 8600, radio is in DIGU, DAX 1 is on, and in the Radio panel - DAX is on.

    Any idea why DAX1 is not available?

    Paul,

    I am not the expert on the FDV …

    But I can tell you that with 2.3.0, DAX is not used and specificaly that TX DAX needs to be off. You should select either the FDVU or FDVL mode, not DIGU/L. At least that's the way that i am running it.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
