    Hi Bret,

Thank you for the helpful update. That explains why the older waveform is no longer usable on the 6000 series with the newer RADE modes.

The FreeDV-FlexRadio AppImage sounds like a great solution, especially running on a Raspberry Pi or Linux PC. It’s excellent that it brings FDVU and FDVL modes to the 6000, 8000, and Aurora radios while using the radio’s mic and speaker directly.

I also appreciate the callsign and SNR display features. Thanks for sharing the link and your experience with it.

If you run it on a Linux X86 computer be sure to download the correct x86 version of the FreeDV-Flexradio appimage from the same GIT Hub web site

Just FYI, for either version, on the command line to run the appimage you will need to add the local IP address of the Radio so it finds the correct radio, your grid square, Name and other information to the command line, and sends the data to the FreeDV Reporter so it shows your station information.

I run this on a Pi5 along with my NODE-RED Station control

PS there is also a NODE-RED flow to automate the command line start up if you run NODE-RED.

    good luck and 73
