Upcoming SmartSDR 4.2.x ... watched the video but ...

I watched the YouTube video regarding the upcoming release of 4.2.x:

(1) SmartSDR v4.2 Feature Update & DAX2 changes - YouTube

However, there was no mention of the updated 60m allocation. Will the new 60m USA band plan with power limits be part of this 4.2.x release?

Also, will they restore the user adjustable NR/NB/etc. functions?

Yes, 60M was mentioned in the notes that went with the video. You might have missed it.

What notes are you referring to? I have watched the video twice and don't find any note or mention of, the new 60 meters allocation being activated in this release. Can you provide a link to where that information is located?

If you launch the video that is embeded in the forum announcement posting then it plays within the forum page but you do not see the notes. You have to play it with YouTube and then under the video is a collapsed section that you can open up and read the notes. You can get it play in YouTube instead of the forum by mouse clicking on the YouTube word on the bottom right of the video frame.

I also missed the notes as I don't recall hearing anyone mentioning this :-)

MAESTRO C - I am new to the Maestro C, I need to update SmartSDR on the computer I use for data, but what about the Maestro? I'll check in the Maestro section but while here, why not ask

Appreciate the work that has been done on DAX and adding ARM support.

Showing band edges being a paid feature though has got to be a joke - isn't that a very basic feature that should have been added 10 years ago?

how about putting the band edge bar down with or combined with the frequency bar instead of at the top? Seems like a strange place to put it.

Mike - Call me confused but although the April 28th release will be available for SmartSDR and SmartSDR+ subscribers, only "Early Access" users will get to use the new features.

Per the release notes: "… 4.2.18 is an Early Access software and firmware release for Aurora™, FLEX-8000™, and FLEX-6000™ series SDRs, as well as Maestro™. This version supersedes all previous SmartSDR releases and is available to all users. Access to new features introduced in this release is limited to SmartSDR+ Early Access feature license holders"

You say that it's for "Early Access" software while in the next sentence you say that it's "available to all users". So this means that SmartSDR and SmartSDR+ users can download 4.2.18 on April 28th, but SmartSDR+ users will NOT benefit from the updates till they are no longer under the "Early Access" banner (30 days later?).

My understanding of "Early Access" is that it was aimed at what I consider "beta testers" for re-released software as they can provide input to developpers. However, 4.2.18 seems like it's more a "pay more to use" as it's being "released to all" but SmartSDR+ subscribers are being penalized.
