No spectrum/waterfall display on second PC
I updated to 4.1.5 on my main desktop without issues. Then I installed 4.1.5 on my laptop but after connecting the LAN connected laptop , I get no RF display on it . I hear audio coming from 8400 in the other room when I use the laptop , just no display . I have never had issues in the past when using this laptop with a 6600 . Network data shows things as "excellent".

Each client connection is like a different user/radio connection.
On your laptop, have you clicked PC Audio in the upper right of SmartSDR? Once you do that, it will play audio to your default sound card.

I tried that, no luck. With PC Audio clicked on , it does mute the 8400's connected speakers but audio does not play on the laptop and there is no display of signals in SmartSDR's spectrum/waterfall.

I was wrong, simply turning on PC audio was not enough. After doing that I rebooted SmartSD and all is good now.
Thanks Mike .

You do have to make sure that your default Windows Sound device is your speakers.
Glad you got it figured out.

Mike (or anyone else ),
It worked December 29 but today when booting the laptop I again get no RF signals displayed . This time PC Audio IS selected but even a reboot after selecting PC Audio does not solve the problem . DAX shows audio is present. Laptop speakers set as default sound device.
Puzzling since I used this laptop frequently with the 6600 and Version 3.x.x SmartSDR and never had an issue .

Additional info . After a reboot of the 8400 and the laptop, RF display in SSDR was apparently OK . I booted WSJTX and noticed DAX was getting zero data from the radio (DAX was configured correctly) . After rebooting DAX , DAX data was flowing at 472 , however the RF display in SSDR was no longer present. It seems that I have either RF displaying in SSDR with no DAX data , or DAX data with no RF signals displayed. Network data shows an excellent connection. Laptop is within three feet of the router , 8400 is within 15 feet of router and laptop.

More on this … I THINK it is working reliably now . I uninstalled SSDR on the laptop and did a reinstall and everything works as expected. We will see tomorrow .
