Audio bandwidth issue with Smartlink in V4
I just discovered that my remote 6300 sounds totally different than my local 6300.
My software settings are 100-3000 Hz and this is exactly what the local radio is doing but the remote radio with the same settings transmits like 200-2500.
It looks like the remote audio link is limiting the AF bandwidth.
Is there any place to cure this. Most radios nowadays transmit till 3000 Hz so I don't want my precious 6300 to sound like a 45 year old kenwood with a 2,4 kHz crystal filter….

It has been like this for a very long time. You should not hear a significant difference between the 2.
You can change the TX bandwidth as you wish up to 10Khz wide on SSB on both types of connection.
I would check and make sure that your settings are identical:
- same mic?
- tx LPF and HPF settings
- TX EQ - make sure it is off for testing
- PROC - make sure the settings are the same (based on your comments it sounds like PROC is on DX)
Record transmissions from both tests and compare. You could also run the same test by running the same recording into the radio via DAX TX.
When you are done, share the recordings with us so we can hear the difference.

Hello Mike,
I am driving both radios from the same laptop, same microphone using identical settings but the on air audio bandwidth is absolutely not the same.
I will try to feed white noise and make two recordings when I have a bit more time.
