Maestro won't load

Hello everyone. I updated the Flex8400 to version 4 yesterday. There are no problems with the computer. I also updated the Maestro B, but it doesn't work. The radio sees it, but when I click on connect, I get this screen. How can I fix this?

    Hi Anton, export your profiles and do a factory reset. If that does not help, submit a help desk ticket.

    My Maestro C does the exact same thing. It worked great after the update, but when I went to turn it on last night it stopped working. It actually reboots the 6400 completely when I try to connect. My Maestro B is working perfect so far with the new update.

    Also when I connect using the Apple Smart SDR from Marcus on my iMac I can connect but if I try to change to 40m it reboots my 6400 just like the Maestro C does. Very strange things happening.

  • I had same issue on my Maestro A after updating to SmartSDR 4.0.1 on my Flex 6700. Windows and Mac versions of SmartSDR 4.0.1 worked fine, and it appeared that Maestro worked also until I tried to change bands and then the screen would lock up. After a few reboots the screen stalled at same point in loading as shown in original post, and when I touched the touch screen after the freeze Windows (version 8 as it turned out) presented an error dialog saying the Maestro is not responding. After more futile recovery attempts, I found this post and tried the full factory reset of my Flex 6700, and this worked! Maestro A is now functional again on SmartSDR 4.0.1 including changing bands and the other functions.

    I was thinking about a full reset, but I have not done that yet. My thinking was that if it is working on some devices, but not others, then maybe it was the devices that are not working. 

    So Mike, do you think that a reset could cure the issue?

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
