Slow boot time.
Hi. Since loading the new 4.0.1 (basic) software onto my 6600M I am experiencing quite a long boot time from switch-on. Typically it is about 5 minutes and 15 seconds (just timed it!).
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue? Everything works fine once booted up. Might it suggest a new/replacement SD card for the rig?
I have tried all the tricks in the manual for the Flex exactly as to the instructions eg. cold start, reset to factory etc etc etc. Still the same result.
Or, is it perfectly normal to have boot time in excess of 5 minutes??
Thanks.

Seems this is common with V4 upgrades in 6000 series, seen a lot of people say the same thing so would hold tight for a fix to come out.
By all means raise a support ticket.
I did my 6600M and don't see any lag more than normal. Ensure you have done a factory reset and cold boot as this seems to help with a lot of issues.

Thanks for the remarks, Rich. Yup, factory reset, cold boot, even front panel reset exactly to Flex guidelines, but no change.
Any one else have this issue with their 6600M……???
I may raise a support ticket, but at this stage I would prefer not to, so maybe wait for fix, if Flex have already been made aware.

I've been experiencing the same thing since installing 4.0.10

I would like to give anyone else who has this issue a "heads-up":
For no reason that I can explain, my radio has returned to a normal boot time again! I timed the latest switch-on and it is a mere 1 minute and 45 seconds instead of the agonising 5 minute wait that I encountered before.
Very odd behaviour, but I am sure there is a rational explanation!!
Cheers.
Mike.

I have a 6600M with a Maestro A version also connected via multi-flex. Since updating to 4.0.1, the software version list can take as long as 5 minutes to load on the front panel of the 6600M, but the Masetro A version connected with multi-flex loads the list in less than 30 seconds every time. It seems to me the issue lies inside the 6600M. I have asked this question, but have not gotten an answer. Where does the list of versions come from? An AWS server via the internet? And, is there a way to force the radio to load the last version it previously loaded without loading the list?

Hi Brad, have you tried a factory reset? If not, export your profiles and give that a shot. If that doesn't help, submit a help desk ticket.
