Smartlink working but no audio or waterfall

Hi everyone,

I have loaned my spare 6300 to a radio club that is more than a 5 hour drive away to allow club members to have remote access to their shack. They have about 1MBup and 10MB down ADSL internet on site.

The club IT guy has done the required port forwarding, and the radio shows up in Smartlink. I can connect to it just fine using either my home network or the on a different PC in my office.

However, there is nothing on the pan adapter and no audio is being passed either as per the screenshot below

When I change bands, I get a warning flag about the interlock preventing TX.

The radio worked fine at home before I shipped it out, and I do not have access to a PC on the remote site to update to the latest SmartSDR - it is currently on 3.4.21.

Is this a port forwarding problem? Reducing the panadapter width to a 2.4KHz and the waterfall refresh rate to 1 also makes no difference (reducing the internet BW required).

I have looked in the community and changing the MTU makes no difference either.

Thoughts? I will try and arrange for a remote VNC session when the club meets next week.

    I'm interested too in this problem as having upgraded my 6700 too v4.0.1 last week to work with my PC running Win11, I upgraded SmartSDR on a laptop running Win10 this morning.

    All works fine on the LAN but I get the same lack of signal/audio from the panadapters as Steve got above, when connecting via SmartLink over a 4G signal. CAT and DAX both appear to operate normally

    Trying to avoid sending a help ticket if I can

    John, after the upgrade did you do a radio reset and cold boot, always essential after an upgrade.

    Yes, and the radio and PC still work fine on v4.0.1

    It's the laptop that I installed SmartSDR v4.0.1 on this morning that isn't working when it is connected to the radio via 4G (WAN). The laptop works properly when connected on the LAN, so it would seem that it's a SmartLInk setting

    I've checked the port forwarding on the router

    Problem found - it was an extra, incorrect, port forwarding rule in the router that was difficult to delete - it kept re-appearing

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph.
