vers. 3.10.10 upgrade
I downloaded version 3.10.10 directly from the Flex server, but when I launch SSDR, the program shows me version 3.9.19.
I have to wait for the upgrade to appear on the startup window.
tnx

As I wrote, I downloaded version 3.10.10 directly from the download page https://www.flexradio.com/software/smartsdr-v3-10-10/, and loaded it onto my PC. When I turned on the flex and launched SSDR, it showed me version 3.9.19.

my guess
he still has version 3.9.19 shortcut on the pc…and has yet to update the radio
and the pc still using 3.9.19 and not 3.10.10

I thought the update would overwrite la 3.9.19. Anyway, after downloading it and not seeing it on the SSDR, I uninstalled it.
Maybe the problem lies with the previous owner and me.
Story: Bought about a month ago from an Italian OM who had purchased a V3 license. The Flex 6400 had its callsign stored in the SSDR. They told me how to change it, and it was changed. The Flex 6400 had the US turf. I opened a ticket and they sent me the EU10 turf file. The change was made.
What I remember is that when I turned it on the first day, the previous owner's name appeared. Perform the upgrade as usual.
Now I assume that's the problem.
Do the updates follow the radio or the owner?0 -
updates follow the radio as far as the licensing goes. (V1, v2, v3)

The new update does not overwrite the previous.

We're waiting for someone from Flex to respond, otherwise we'll open a ticket.

I have confirmed that the download is the correct version of 3.10.10.
It sounds like you are starting the wrong version. You do want to make sure you save a shortcut when you install the product as each install is a new version not an overwrite of the previous version so you will have multiple versions installed.
This is what what they look like (yes, there is 3.11 that we are testing)

I think I solved it. Did I have to do it with the flex on? Now the update appears.
now ok

no need to have the radio on until you update the software on the radio.

I don't understand what the problem is, today I upgraded to 3.10 and now as soon as I launch the program it appears as in the photo without being able to turn on the radio

It look as though you are launching v3.9.19 not 3.10.10. Is shows the radio has 3.10.10 but the software you are loading is 3.9.19.

Today I successfully downloaded 3.10, and if you see the photos above, it didn't give me any problems, although I had a problem with the first download of v.3.10. This evening I turned it on and it looked like the photo. I don't know if I should downgrade, as I can't run the ssdr right now.
in the black window I read version 3.10

Yes, that is the Radio 3.10.10. You must run the same version of the software. Look at the version of the software you are trying to run:

Could you be more specific?
Version 3.10 is downloaded to my PC and worked fine today.i try to downgrade
I downgraded, and now everything works. The 6400 is operational, but with v.3.9.19.
There are some issues with v.3.10.10; the forum doesn't discuss them.0 -
You must run v3.10.10 of the software not 3.9.19. Both versions exist on your PC but you are not running the correct version. Perhaps you have a shortcut on your desktop. If you are trying to use the shortcut (3.9.19) that will not work with the radio at 3.10.10.
I do see a shortcut to SSDR 3.10.10 on your desktop as well as one for 3.9.19. Use the 3.10.10 shortcut.
Or try running the software directly fron the download location.
What I usually do is delete the old shortcuts and make new ones for the new software.

I redownloaded v3.10 and followed your instructions. I removed the 3 shortcuts from the 3.9 desktop, leaving only the 3 from v3.10. I ran the update again. Now it works with 3.10.
I hope the nightmare of constantly asking is over.
I regret leaving Powersdr ke9ns. My Flex 3000-5000 won't budge from here.tnx a lot of for now hi hi

Yes, there are some quirks when updating Flex software. As you noticed, the new version doesn’t overwrite the older version. This allows the pc to connect with one of several remote Flex stations that may be running different versions of SmartSDR. The other is that updating your home station is a two step process. First, the pc is updated and then the radio is updated to the matching version. The pc and the radio must be running the same version. A further complication occurs if the upgrade is to a major version ex. From 2.something to 3.something. In that case the radio must “phone home “ via the internet to confirm the license for the radio. Also note that the license applies to the radio, not the pc. So the pc can run 2.xx version and 3.xx, depending on the level the radio is licensed.
