Need technical support from FlexRadio? It's as simple as Creating a HelpDesk ticket.
Do you show your operating status of the SmartLink servers/services somewhere?
Do you inform publicly about scheduled maintenance windows etc.?

While we have an internal health page, we have not yet shared it with the public.

Since we moved SmartLink to AWS over a year go, it has been rock solid.
All SmartLink does is provide the WAN (outside internet address) and the 2 ports to use to the SmartSDR client. The SmartSDR client then does a direct connection to your router/radio.
If some work for you and some don't, 99% of the time the port forwarding in the router is broken or the radio is not power on. And, the way we designed the radio to work, power cycling the radio will send new uPNP commands to the router to fix things.
If you don't use the fully automatic mode, then you'll have to do some digging on your own. We highly recommend full auto using DHCP or DHCP reservations and uPNP on the router.
I've run 3-4 radios like this for years at the house without issue.
Sorry for the rant! :). If you get stuck figuring it out, you can open support ticket and we will give you a hand.

I am experiencing loss of SmartLink access this evening (Monday, June 16, 2025, around 0200Z / 7 PM PST). I logged out of my remote radio and then was unable to log back on. I know that @Mike-VA3MW says there is an internal (to Flex) smartlink status but… I wish Flex could allow that insight to be more public. Perhaps it is only a problem in my local region (Seattle)? Anyone else?? Thanks. -John

@billjhs — thank you for that report that you had issues too this morning. I will again reboot and report back here. When you say your rebooted everything… you mean the PC/AMP/TUNER/etc?? I will attempt to do that as well.

@Billjhs — After rebooting (just the Flex) this morning, I now have SmartLink visible again at 1815Z 11:15 AM PST.
Another post about this issue was made to:
I recommended to @Mike-VA3MW that he again make a request for a public facing SmartLink status page.
Thank you.

As was mentioned I had the problem yesterday and it has now occurred again today. I am guessing another radio reboot will fix the issue but I'm not home to verify.
It really is starting to look more like an issue with the SmartLink servers. Also I'm not far from Seattle, could easily be the same server John WA7UAR is using.
