SO2R mode: can't toggle stereo

I'm running SO2R with a Maestro A controlling a Flex 8600, and running N1MM.

All the SO2R functionality seems to be working fine, with the exception of toggling stereo (with the tilde/backtick key) so that I can hear both slices at the same time.

I've run SO2R in the past with two separate radios and SO2R hardware, and toggling worked fine in that setup.

What might I be missing in my configuration?

I'm not sure if it's a problem with my N1MM configuration, or my Maestro configuration.

Have you got OTRSP set-up in SmartCAT?

Create a port that matches the one in N1MM.

Thanks Rich. Yes, I have OTRSP set up in SmartCAT, with:
    -Slices: A/B
    -Process: N1MMLogger
    -Serial: COM11

In N1MM, I have COM11 configured with the checkbox "CW/Other", and in the "set" dialog box, I have:
    -Radio Nr: Both
    -Two radio protocol: OTRSP

    And in case it's relevant:
In the "Logger+ Audio Setup" I have the following items selected in the dropdowns:
    -SO2R: Single soundcard L/R
    -DAX Audio TX

(I also tried using "SO2R: Two soundcards mono", but that didn't seem to make a difference.)

Don't forget to check use "Internal Radio Codec". that isn't your problem, but I thought I would mention it.

Are you sure your ` key is actually a ` (backtick) ?

Could there be another program intercepting it?

    this is what I have:

You are right! On our team's computer, AutoHotkey was used to map backtick to another function. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Excellent…. Glad that helped. And, yes, I have been burned by something similar more than once.
