Installation of SmartSDR 3.8.23 for windows will not complete, crashes

Helllo,
I tried updating my pc to the new 3.8.23 (previous 3.8.21 working fine). Installations steps go fine:
1 Click run
2 Accept agreement
3 Installation location
4 Select components screen
5 Create desktop shortcut
6 Click install to continue
At this point it stops working. I dont see the next screen where it shows installation progress. It does not install anything on the pc. It closes and nothing happens
The pc is windows 11
I uninstalled previous 3.8.21 version
I downloaded the file again and again, just in case it was corrupt
I restarted the pc
NO LUCK. It just wont install!
Anyone have a solution?

I have the same problem. Using Win11. Also along with the gentileman above mine also will not highlight the checkmark for SmartSDR application files. DAX and Cat are checkmarked.The setup starts up then just goes blank.0

Same issue here. Win 11 with newest updates, upgrade from 3.8.210
