Best way to set up a voice recorder?

What is the best way to set up a voice recorder for calling CQ during contests? I have done extensive searches through the archives and Google but much of the information is either old of does not apply to the 6000 series. Ideally I would like it to be done entirely within the radio but the user's manual doesn't seem to indicate that can be done. I'm using N1MM Logger for contesting software. Thank you, W6WRT

Use N1MM+. You can record directly into the program. It's in their manual. Read the Flex SO2R setup guide also. Mack W4AX Alpha Tester0

As well, Audicity is a free recording editing program that works great. Just record the voice stream in the DAX panel, put th eedited files in the proper N1MM folder, and you have the hot setup.0

There is no need to use Audicity. You can record directly to N1MM on the fly (during the contest).0

True, but I like to clip the edges and make certain it sounds right. That's just me.0

I use N1MM+ for contests and utilize their voice keyer. Is there software or hardware that can be used for casual operations, such as calling a DX station in a pileup?

Hardware: I use Stream Deck.
Software: The K9DUR DVK is as good as any. One of Ray's many SSDR utilities.
