Can I use two Flexradios with different s/w versions?

I've currently got a 6300 and it's on 2.10.1. When my new 8600 finally gets here (probably next year sometime) will I be able to use both radios? Not at the same time, of course. Run 2.10.1 when I want to use the 6300 and run whatever the new 8600 comes with when I want to run that radio.

    The only difference will be the version of SmartSDR you use on your pc. You will need the correct version for each radio. You "should " be able to have two versions of SmartSDR on your pc without any conflicts.

    Hi Dave, Yes you can. I keep two versions (V2.12.1 and 3.7.4) on my computer so that I can go back and forth to test my homebrew TeensyMaestro and a couple of PC-based utilities that I wrote.

    When the new version of SmartSDR (for your 8000 series radio) becomes available, install it on the same PC as your 2.10.1 software. It will set up 3 shortcut icons on your desktop. The shortcuts will contain the version number so that you can tell which one to click to start SmartSDR for the radio that you want to operate.

    Version 2.12.1 is the latest V2 software - I recommend upgrading your 6300 to that, it is a good, stable version.

    You can run different versions of SmartSDR at the same time, but you can only run 1 version of CAT or DAX at the same time. This may be a limiting factor.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
