Yaesu M-90D microphone with Maestro not keying

I just got a Maestro and it didnt have a microphone. I made a post here asking about which mics would work and nobody responded. I did some research on other posts and saw somebody mention Yaesu mics would work and have the proper RJ45 connector. I decided on the Yaesu M-90D. I just got it in the mail and it has two connection options on the back. 8 pin round and Rj45, but the cable supplied is 8pin to RJ45. When I plug it into the Maestro the PTT lock button will key the Maestro but not he actual PTT button. Im wondering if using the RJ45 connection instead will fix this problem. I dont think I can get RJ45 to RJ45 so I would have to get 8pin to RJ45 to plug in to the RJ45 on the back of the mic. Can anybody provide any insight?

Hi Luke… please take a look at this discussion we had on the M-90 microphone just a little while ago. I hope it helps.

Could you tell me what the final verdict was? Will the microphone work, or is there a modification or a cable that needs to be purchased to get the correct pin setup? I am interested so that I may use it with my Maestro “A”, unless someone has a better Desk microphone for use with the Maestro ”A”, thanks
