COM ports and Audio ports are not related at all. They do different things.

There are a few things to set with your Audio, and I suspect you turned off something in DAX.

You may also want to consider using SliceMaster to help you out. This video may help a bit.

Hi Don, the 6000 series radios use pairs of ports that you should not get rid of. For example, if you have a CAT port COM 4 defined, you will also see port COM 104. For proper operation, these pairs must be left alone.

If this is not what you meant in your post, give a little more detail and maybe a screen shot of what you are seeing.

Hi Don, audio is not passed over the com ports, so that is a different problem. Just deleting com ports can be dangerous... There is a published procedure if you really need to delete them, but I would not start there.

Can you send a screenshot of your SmartSDR? You need DAX selected for transmit audio to pass between the radio and WSJT.

For the COM ports you used on the FLEX5000 Legacy radios you need to load the settings Program you used to create the ports like VSPMGR or COM0COM, It needs to be the same version of program you used to build the COM ports.

Delete the COM ports that should show up when you load up the Correct program then you should be able to easily delete the Virtual COM ports.

    hope this helps
