I lost my Com ports.

Hi. This happened yet again using 2.7.6 here to try to avoid the CW dropout ( but it doesn't! ) and I used Arbiter64 to purge the Com ports and try to reinstall them. I followed the instructions explicitly and did it several times. I also deleted FlexVSP and started again. However, I don't get a choice of more than 4 Comports to use and I had to settle for what was offered, which was NOT the original set. Hence I had to alter all my programs accordingly. I also used Arbiter to select those Com ports I wanted to use, but they did not appear in Device Manager. Is this normal or am I missing something?

Since you have done the documented things, you might want to open a support ticket so they can dig a bit deeper.

    Roger,

if you have yet to receive help from Flex, I was using 2.7.6 and down graded to 2.4.10 for "the reason" you are aware of :) There were a long list of steps to walk through, and I am confident it would work for you to totally re-install 2.7.6. Just let me know, and I'll forward the instructions!

    Hi Lasse.

I did revert to 2.4.10 like yourself, but after Malcolm wrote to Flex, they said that the problem was being addressed as soon as their commercial contract was completed. The suggested that might be just a couple of weeks, but that was nearly two months ago.

Did you mean to say resinstall 2.7.6 or to revert to 2.4.10? If you think it would help to reinstall 2.7.6 I will give it a try by all means.!! It really is about time we had a really good update, with other things as well as the CW problem. If we had some of the Apache implementations it would be great!

Many thanks.. 73 de Roger, G3LDI
