in FLEX Series (Legacy) Radios
I own a Flex 5000. Three years ago I had a **** which made radio a mystery to me. Unfortunately whilst in hospital my house was broken into and the pc stolen. I now think I can operate the radio again, but I need to know if will run with a modern pc running widows 10, plus the firewire card.
Can anyone advise me?

    Hi: I have win 10 and the Flex 5000A. I'm using PowerSDR by KE9NS. On first run, it will profile the system and find sample rates that are best with the system, and back-up the firmware and database from the radio to the computer. His Flex site has a lot of details and info..

    I hope to hear you on the air soon.. One very popular mode, now, is FT8 and FT4. These are modes within the program WSJT-X .

    You'll find these band segments loaded almost all the time.. You will need to make sure the computer clock is accurate to about 2 seconds, though..

    You will need a PC with a open PCI slot. Not all PCs now have PCI slots, but most decent PC will run just fine. You will need to add the FireWire , most of the PC geeks do not know what FireWire is. Get a card with a VIA chipset in it, Win10 will recognize the card , then plug the radio in, turn it on. Be REALLY careful that you plug the radio in correctly, if you accidentally get the FW cable upside down, you will wipe out the FW chip in the radio.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
