Running PowerSDR 2.8 and have no output power or transmit audio on SSB via Firewire. In the computer sound recording parameters it shows Microphone and Line In "not plugged in". In the playback parameters it shows me using "Digital Audio (S/PDIF) as the default device. I've been messing with this problem for days. My question is 'can I wire a Creative Labs USB sound card adapter as my audio line in and out to have better audio control thru the line in/out jacks on the 5000? If so, what would be the setup?

Thanks Dudley... To clarify, I am using only the Flex supplied Mic. I have all of the recommended settings on the computer (WIN 7) and I am seeing my audio on the panadapter and all meters. When speaking into the Mic, and in monitor mode, TX audio is distorted and weak whether on SSB or AM. I am seeing full power carrier on AM without audio. Thanks again Dudley and is there anybody else with an idea.

PowerSDR has a plethora of Audio settings that you can adjust, here how to CORRECTLY set the audio up so you may want to look for that here, https://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en-us/articles/202118248-TX-Audio-Setup-Procedure-by-W1AEX-Rob .

Over driving ANY section of all the adjustments will cause distortion, I would check the Leveler that always caused distortion on my voice, I also had to drop 1K on the TX Equalizer or I would sound nasally.
