Latest free version of SSDR

A local OM bought recently a Flex 6400 with SSDR version 1 installed. What is the latest free SSDR version he can install on his radio?

    On my 6300 I have the 1.12.1. This is currently the latest "free" version. I don't know whether or not it can be installed on 6400.

    SSDR 2.X and SSDR 3.X require license fees, unless the license was included with the radio when the radio was first sold.


    As I recall, the Flex Signature Series 6400 & 6600 radios shipped with an SSDR 2.X license, so I would encourage your friend to try the latest SSDR 2.X on their radio - it should install 'free'.


    I suspect the previous owner opted to run SSDR 1.X for personal preference reasons.

    If I remember right the 6400 and 6600 radios came with a version 2 licence so version 261 is the latest version that is free for those radios

    The 6400 can run any version of 2.  I recommend 2.6.

    You can try to run V3, but if it asks to pay, then you will have to.  

    Since you can have many versions of SmartSDR installed on your computer at the same time, try to run V3.  If it doesn't just start up, then go back and run V2.  There is no need to uninstall previous versions.  

    The software will ask you to upgrade or downgrade the radio firmware as required.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
