Maestro and SmartSDR CW - Same Key plugged into radio?
Maestro and SmartSDR CW - Same Key plugged into radio?
I just received a new 6400 / Maestro. I work from home and have a work computer sharing the same keyboard with my home computer that has SmartSDR. So, to alleviate the need to go back and forth between the computers I've been using the Maestro when I'm "working".
Is there a way to use my CW Key plugged into the radio itself for the Maestro AND times when I'm using SmartSDR? Or do I need either 2 keys or a switch?
Thanks!

As long as you're going to be in the shack, plug the key into the 6400. I don't know if it will work if you have it plugged into the Maestro and are using SmartSDR instead. I have mine plugged into the rig and it works fine in both situations. I also have my Mic plugged into the rig. (I don't wander around with the Maestro.)

Yup... didn't have the audio output switched to the powered speaker... all works now. Thanks Duane!

I must be doing something wrong as when I have it plugged into the radio and use the maestro I have no side tone volume.

Use powered speakers plugged into the 6400 instead of the Maestro speaker.
