does the RMH-1 have an 8 pin connector?0

James, you probably have the one with thee rj45 connector. this simpliifies things, you can buy an ethernet extension cable (with a female rj45 connector n one eed and a male rj45 on the other.

Doesn’t the 6700 only have a Yaesu-style 8-pin on the front, where the hand mic would connect? The modular at the mic head is RJ45 based with extra mechanical features to stabilize that connection. If you are okay with the mic head a bit less supported and finished the Amazon cable would work great. Otherwise it is a eight-pin extension cable. What you pick perhaps depends on what length of extension is needed? 73 Steve K9ZW Blog://k9zw.wordpress.com0

Boy are you correct! My bad! I personally use the balance connector on the back of the radio and you can get cables for that at very long lengths quite cheaply (but will not work with the FMH-1 mic!)
