    If you need a DHCP server available, just buy a small, cheap router (that runs on 12 or 5 volts) with a built-in 4-port switch, and it will provide DHCP for all your connected devices, PC and radio.

    That is the simplest and best solution for stations that may not want to connect to the internet... 

    I have a hard line from my router to the shack, then a simple 5 port switch that connects to my computer and rig.  I also connect a PI3 to it when I am playing.
