Hello Jean, You will need to set up the amplifier for Kenwood CAT using RS232C. Then you will need to get a FTDI Usb to serial adapter. Plug it in and under the USB cables menu configure this adapter in SmartSDR as a CAT cable. Then you can attach it to your amplifier as you would any kenwood Radio.0

Yes. The usb cable connects to the radio. No computer is needed. I didn’t mention it but you also need rf in, antenna and ptt cables.0

Are you using a Null Modem cable? The THP requires a Null Modem RS-232 cable. I made a simple adapter using a pair of DB-9 connectors back to back.0

**** it's the correct cable ?0

You can buy a Null Modem adapter to go between your cable and the THP amp. Just make sure you get the proper male/female connections. As I said earlier, I made one, but they are readily available on Amazon and other Web sites.0
