Is it possible to ssh or telnet into the O.S. running in my 6300?

I ask this question because I installed a waveform into my 6300 and misspelled the end of the waveform name as wavefor -- leaving the m off the end. Every time I uninstall it, it disappears from the waveform list but after shutting down my 6300 and later turning it on I see it again in the waveform list in the WaveForm Manager. I suspect it is not really uninstalling it because of the letter m I left off of the waveform name hihi
It's not a major deal but is a bit annoying. If I could ssh into the underlying O.S. (which I suspect is not something I can do) then I might be able to manually delete the waveform file.
Alternately, I could do a factory reset and that might take care of the problem but being lazy I would rather not do that especially when it is just a slight nuisance.

Thanks Chris, I figured it was worth asking though hihi.0

You do get extensive access via the API though.0

The question needs a little more detailed answer, IMHO.
s Chris indicated you cannot establish a session with the operating system running on the radio.
You can, however, telnet to port 4992 and communicate with the SmartSDR "command channel" by issuing API based commands to subscribe to radio events and manipulate radio resources (create panadapters and slices, tune slices, enable/disable radio features, etc..) and Ria indicated.
And to address your original question, you need to do a factory reset to properly remove waveforms that are not manageable by the usual means.0
