After downloading installing SmartSDR V1.8.3.  I shut down the radio removed DC power.  Rebooted windows PC.  Powered up PC.  Then powered up DC power supply.  Then powered up Flex 6500.  Started SmartSDR V1.8.3 tried to connect to radio. Then received this error messages.  Powered down radio and PC.  Brought pc and radio back up same error.
I also have to hold down the power button to get the radio to turn off.
   Any Ideas??

I would personally remove 1.8.x and reload it. Try again and if it does not perform properly, then open a case with Flex.     73, Jim

Can you login to the router and see the radio on the network?  If you can and see the radio check the IP address.. if the radio is not listed you will need to check your network connection from the radio to the router.

    Good Luck

I suspect a firewall problem.  If you are using a third-party firewall, you have to make a exception or firewall rule for SmartSDR v1.8

Hard to believe a radio that was connecting prior to the upgrade would suddenly need an exception applied. He also mentioned he now has to hold down the power button to shut it off, looks to me there might be another issue?

The radio was working on the network just fine before the upgrade.  As notes I am having issues powering the radio down.

Have you cold booted the radio after the firmware upgrade as is recommended in the release notes?  If so and you are still having issues, please open a HelpDesk support ticket.

Still unable to downgrade to any version of SDR.  Unable to the current version 1.8.3 to work. :(

Tim, wouldn't the fact the discovery dialog knows the name of the rig (callsign nickname), the model, serial number, hw version, ip address, indicate it saw the discovery record? I just thought I'd point that out in case it was overlooked.

Had to reset and reload SDR1.8.3 and profiles.  Now everything is working
