Sorry but not very familiar with PC (Windows7). After installing SmartSDR 1.5 I get the following message:
SmartSDR CAT requires the FlexRadio Systems FlexVSP driver to be installed. Please reinstall SmartSDR to install this driver
In fact I have to uninstall SmartSDR CAT.
I found a post where Tim explained to follow the procedure "SmartSDR v0.15.13 Release Notes", but I don't find this Release Note.

Thanks for helping and 73 - Jean-Luc / F5JRC

Are you saying that the FlexRadio Systems FlexVSP is not listed in the
Control Panel - Programs and Features for you to uninstall it first? It may be easiest to uninstall all FlexRadio items listed there, reboot, and then install fresh the 1.5 release.

Hi David, thanks for your return.
FlexVSP is not listed anymore and I uninstalled several times and reinstall fresh 1.5 release.
SmartSDR CAT is available now but get this message: "Invalid default audio input device selected" DAX RESERVED AUDIO TX 4 DAX TX Audio. Please change the default audio input device and try again."

I believe I have to really uninstall everything but don't know exactly how to proceed,

It may be best to open a support ticket.

Go into your Windows Control Panel

    Open Sound
    Go to Recodings Tab
Change default Input Device to something that is NOT DAX I had similar issues so I plugged a USB Mike into my computer and made the mike my default input device

Remember that CAT has nothing to do with audio. You may be trying to fix the wrong problem. Howard's advice (below) is good - DAX should not be a default audio device in Windows.
