Try powering the radio off, removing power for a few minutes (5-10 is plenty), then trying your upgrade again.

    Martin,

Try to do a complete reset of the radio.  Here is how it is done  on the Flex-6700 series.

    1. Power off the radio

    2. Press and hold the OK button

    3. Momentarily Press and release the power button

    4. On the console display you will see a message "resetting the radio back to factory default."

    5. Keep holding the OK button until the power LED turns white, then release the OK button.

    6. Allow the radio to boot normally.

This may help, or try to installing SmartSDR if the problem persist.
