Two questions on Cold Booting a Flex 6400

I use my 6400 remotely, controlled by Home Assistant. I have an automation that "starts" the radio from cold:

1 Turn the PSU on
2 Wait 10s for 12V to settle down and for the Flex's internal control processor to boot.
3. Close the "remote on" relay.

I have a similar automation that reverses this, but with a 60s delay to allow the Flex's control processor to shutdown.

My questions are:

1. Are the delays long enough?
2. Is the "remote control relay" a true analogue of the from panel power switch?

I ask the latter as the SmartSDR v4.2.18 upgrade notes specify shutting the Flex down using the front panel power button.

Thanks in Advance

    Hi Gareth

Those are all fine. If it was an M model, I would apply DC power and wait 2 minutes before pushing the remote on part.

    Good luck, 73
