Exporting profiles via Smartlink

I just learned that exporting profiles via Smartlink is not supported. Given that my radio is about a 90 minute drive away, I guess I'll just have to hope that nothing happens during the process of upgrading to 4.2.20 (unless anyone has figured out a work-around).

    A good solution is to have a small PC at the radio site. Use TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Remote Desktop or something to drive the PC remotely. To export your profiles, start SmartSDR on the remote PC (i.e. the PC at the radio site) and use it to do the export.

    Mike Walker, VA3MW has some good YouTube videos on the advantages of having a computer at the radio site.

    Yep - I've seen Mike's videos about that. I just need to find or buy a small PC (something like a Beelink or similar would be good). Having said that, I haven't found a need for a PC at the remote site so far - even for digital modes. It's only about 60 miles away, and I have 2Gbps symmetric internet at the house and 500Mbps symmetric internet at the remote location. The result is 10-12ms latency, and digital modes have been working flawlessly.

    It's not a huge trek to drive down there, so I may just take my laptop and do the upgrade at the remote site.

    I have been using $200 refurbished IBM ThinkCenters and they come with Windows PRO from Amazon.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
