Do notch filters work correctly?

I have hardly ever tried to use the various notch filters in SSDR (I am on 4.2.18 with a 6600M). This morning I tried the TNF and it did not seem to do anything. I did a rt click on the passband and selected "Create TNF" then adjusted it for width and placement.

Since I am not used to this feature, I may not be doing it correctly. Suggestions please.

Thanks, Rod w7zrc

Rod…I believe you have to enable the filter with the icon in the bottom left corner of SSDR.

Works on my 6500/MaestroC (4.2.18).. Difficult to setup with the Maestro/xxxxM screen,, It will be yellow if enabled.

Or green if it is a permanent filter.

Geoff thanks for the tip - that solved it for me. Don't know why that designed that way but now have the TNF working! 73, Rod
