440 transverter

I'm planning to be QRV at the QO 100 satelite but I do need som hardware and knowledge. My Flex6400 is working fine on a remote location.

Flexradio did sell VHF/UHF transverters in the past but I only find the Q5 transverter now and that will be overkill. Is it possible to order a simple 440 MHz transverter by Flexradio?

I understand that full duplex is a 'must have' on the QO 100. Will full duplex work OK with the sice A & B on the 6400?

FlexRadio has never sold Transverters for the 6000, 8000 or Aurora series and we have always recommended the Q5 series for their stability and clean RF signals.

No, you can't do FDX on a 6400. You need a 2 SCU radio like the 6600, 6700, 8600, or AU-520(M).

Hi Neil, Mike's response was specifically about multiple transverters. The 6400 is indeed capable of full duplex (FDX), but it is only capable of doing so on one antenna (transverter) at a time. To do full duplex satellite transverters, you need two transverter ports (i.e. two SCU) like what is found on a 6600, 6700, 8600 or AU520.
