Failed eSSB transmit audio.

I have put together the tools I need for eSSB on my 6400 (with the exception of the one between my ears). I managed to get the 6400 up and running via direct contact, i.e. audio out, stock mic and PTT. To start, I put together all the hardware for eSSB, but found it took up too much real estate.
So I built a real nifty PC, way more horse power than I need, UMC1820 for any audio input/output and loaded software to essentially do the work of the hardware. Now with only cat5 and a PTT trigger. I managed to get the meter to register in SSDR.
Here's the rub. When I hit the PTT via trigger, i see the radio is transmitting but with no audio fluctuation in the outgoing signal.
For me this is harder to troubleshoot than the weapon system on a B-52E (the old days). Can anyone, with experience with this issue help.

You will need to hit PTT within the SmartSDR client, not the back of the radio if you wish to use PC Audio for you SSB transmit stream.

Here is a new HelpDesk article that addresses the issue:
How to use a PC or USB Mic with FlexRadio 6000 / 8000 / Aurora Radios – FlexRadio

Here Are two options for PTT when using PC audio.
I use the MorConi interface which is based on a Teensey 4.1 Arduino. Pin 4 is set as a PTT in. You can buy a prebuilt MorConi or buy the Teensey 4.1, Ethernet interface and download the software. It als works for remote CW.Second option is the HaliKey.
