Has anyone upgraded to V4.01 on Windows 10

Has anyone upgraded to V4.01 on Windows 10? I do not currently have Windows 11 but would like to upgrade to this version. The release notes indicate that support will not be available for Windows 10, I understand this position. I just want to confirm that it loads and works properly.

Hi Chuck, I am successfully using V4.0.1 on Win 10. I have an 8600 and a 6400 and both work great.

Eventually, Flex will add a feature or fix a bug or do something that makes it incompatible with Win 10, but until then it will work.

If you stay on Win 10 and have an issue, you might not get support from Flex. I am guessing that will be on a case by case basis. If Flex can't recreate an issue, they can't do much about it. I am sure they won't keep any Win 10 computers around for this purpose, so you will likely be on your own to a degree if you stick with Win 10.

Same as Len here. I upgraded with Win10, had no issues and it ran as expected.

Then, wth Eric's encouragement I decided to finally bite the bullet and upgrade to Win11 to get it over with. Shockingly, it went off without a hitch and SSDR (and everything else) is working fine with it. Actually I have to say the upgrade actually fixed some things that had devolved becoming flakey on the computer in general by this time. It actually runs better now than it ever has. Amazing … So an upgrade as you mention might be a good thing ?

Thank you gents, appreciate the information. I know I will need to eventually replace my PC with one that is W11 compatible.

Yes, all the time. My 2 remote PC’s are still W10.

Thanks guys for this thread. My cabin computer won't take Win 11, so it's still on Win 10. I remotely connected to the cabin computer and tried working my radios remotely after upgrading to V4.0.1 - and things weren't working (home to cabin using Chrome, with cabin computer controlling the radio at home). After reading this thread I tried again (days later) and now things are working! I don't know what the issue was, but because of your comments I tried again and seem to be back in business and much less concerned for my near term cabin operating. Thank you all.
