The license goes with the radio, so there is nothing you need to do.

The radio will require internet access to validate a new version but if you do not have internet access you can safely continue to run the version that is installed on the radio.

    i read this

Important Notice: Beginning with SmartSDR v3.10.10, the SmartSDR hardware license installed on your radio must be
revalidated by connecting to the SmartSDR License Server. To complete this process, ensure that your radio is connected
to a network with Internet access. Once your SmartSDR license has been successfully validated, the radio will not need to
reconnect to the License Server unless you purchase a new SmartSDR+ feature license.

Now I'm wondering if the new features I downloaded in version 4 aren't active. Is that right?

In V4 Basic, NR and ANF have been "improved with an updated algorithm". So those are 'active' but nothing else is right now without a SmartSDR+ license. For example, the DVK that you opened will never work without paying for it.

Before this subscription upheaval, moving from V3 to V4 would have cost $200 anyway. So if any of the new features are important to you, it makes sense to go to SmartSDR+. At the offer price, it is actually less expensive (until end of November).

Note that Enhanced Signal Clarity only works on 2 SCU radios and Noise Floor Scaling has been available anyway for years in SDC software (along with auto AGC-T which is not being provided in SSDR+ at all).

My advice, for what it is worth, is to acquire SmartSDR+ while the offer is available. You do not have to continue paying after the year has ended and you will keep all new features introduced up to then.

Thanks for the reply, now everything is clear to me. Without getting too argumentative, I'm asking the Flex Chief, but does all this make sense to charge someone who spends a lot of money for software that rarely receives functions and requires satellite programs? Couldn't it decrease sales? Today there is an SDR called Brick2. Soon it will have two ADCs that works with Thethis software, which has everything and is amazing at the very low cost of 1000 bucks. It's just a commercial curiosity, nothing controversial.
