APD in Power Genius

My current version is 3.8.9. When is APD going to activated in PGXL? or I missed something?

    Hi Jim,

I don't think you are missing anything. When Flex introduced the 8000 series, Mike, VA3MW was showing how the PGXL already had an output to feedback into the 8000. To me, it was a big surprise when the APD function was released that it only worked with the radio and was not working yet with the PGXL loop. I then assumed the PGXL would be looped into the feedback circuit when 4.0 came out, but no! Now we are into the subscription model and on the "pay for play track" with no mention of APD working with the PGXL other than taking a APD'd signal from the exciter (8400 or 8600). Who knows when, if ever, this feature will be fully fleshed out?

    Regards,

We are ONLY a couple revisions in and they are still working on getting APD working with the Radio Exciter before they can bring in the PGXL. With 4.1.3 it is a big fix from 4.0 was and running with the PGXL AMP, I have had several unsolicited comments about how clean my signal is from people that I talk to regularly so it's NOT hurting anything YET not having the AMP in the APD LOOP with the Exciter just having the APD enabled so when it's ready for Prime time I'm sure they will role the PGXL into the mix.

Thanks Bret for info. I was wondering the same thing on another post.
