Radio goes offline...

Hey guys.

I'm new to the Flex community, having bought a 6400 used from a local ham a couple months back. It has been flawless since I got it… until today.

Twice today my radio has been nonresponsive. First time I checked it, the green button light was flashing. I pushed it and the unit powered off… powered it back on and it was fine.

Second time the green light was solid, but I could not connect with SSDR. I rebooted the radio (push power button, wait until light goes out, wait 10~ seconds, power back on) and now I can connect to the radio again.

Any ideas how to track down what might be happening here? Seems very strange that my radio is suddenly going nonresponsive.

Curious, is the PC you are using on WiFi or a LAN connection?

Hi Mike - thanks for the reply. I forgot about one other change I made since last night… I started using a CTR2-Flex with v1 firmware. Turns out this is a known issue between Flex 3.9.19 firmware and CTR2-Flex v1 firmware. Lynn posted a v2 update last week that I have not had a chance to apply yet.

    Lynn pointed me here: https://groups.io/g/CTR2/topic/114174611

I guess I'm going to wait for 3.9.20 and take Lynn's advice about just pulling the plug on the CTR2-Flex until the 3.9.20 firmware is available.
