Is there a PROBLEM with the latest release?????

I updated my Flexradio 8400M with the latest version and also removed the prior version of SmartSDR. I then installed the most recent version of SmartSDR and my computer rebooted. Once it did that I double clicked SmartSDR and I get it find the correct Audio channels. And to boot, SmartSDR does not even recognize my radio for some reason because it is not showing me any frequency for either Slice A or Slice B. Why is it that everytime they do an upgrade, something doesn't work. Do I need to downgrade to the prior version? AT LEAST THAT WORKED! HELP!!!

Hi Mark… your description of the problem seems a bit confusing… "…and I get it find the correct Audio channels…"

I would strongly suggest you open up a Help Desk ticket and let the Flex staff walk you through a solution.

    Hi Mark

Can I recommend you never remove the previous release. There really is no need and it is good to fall back on. Unlike most programs today (such as your phone) you can easily move backwards by just starting the previous release, installing it on the radio (called a downgrade) and then resetting the radio database.

It sounds like your PC firewall is blocking the network communications. Either disable the firewall or add some bypass rules for this version of SmartSDR.

If you are still stuck, just open a ticket and we will get back to you pretty quickly.

Sorry you are having an issue.

Has the DAX Changed? Because I can not on my computer see DAX RX 1 or DAX TX. I see a bunch of Reserved and IQ options but not the one's I have been using before? What do I need to do to get this to work?????

Well, when you press the DAX Button in SmartSDR on the Left Side it then reads DAXIQ. Why don't you tell us dummies that so we can make the necessary changes to get the Audio to work? Somebody sure goofed up on that one!!!

And what do I change the Transmit to? Especially for WSJT? The only Audio TX is MIC Audio?

    Guys,

I contacted the Help Desk and they sent instructions on all the Reboots, Power off and on's and stuff to get version 3.9.19 to install and work. After I did all that everything is back to normal like it was with version 3.9.18. I hate to say this but updating to the new firmware has become very challenging with my 8400M
