in DAX

Hallo, there. Since yesterday there is no RX Streams slice. I removed SmartSDR v 3.8.23 and installed it again. No change in behavier of DAX. Is there a chance to activate DAX?

Best Regards, Detlef - DK6OR

Have you tried rebooting the radio?

Is this on a WiFi connection?

Have you assigned the Slice to a DAX stream?

Those are the things I would look into first.

    Thank you MIke,

yes, the mentioned things I did. I found out that in System/Sounds/All Audio devices/DAX AudioRX1 wasnot active. I changed that and see now the Audi Stream working.

I checked the Device Manager and found

which says Device deleted. If I try to configure the Sound device in fldigi - fldigi says Port Audio Device not available. Something happened with my SmartSDR config! Any Idea? Thank you Detlef

Just in case this is relevant (might not be), in Windows / Settings / Privacy & security / Microphone: you must have microphone access turned on

    thanks Erik,

    Yes, it is.

The real problem is that the software, fldigi and so on, does not find the Sound Card Devices for receiving. RX1 DAX does not exist, because Systems DAX Audio is deleted and DAX Audio RX 1 is not migrated. This can I see in the device Manager. A new Installation of SmartSDR does not change anything. Could it bee that this SmartSDR version is not stable enough or has conflicts with WIN 11 PRO?

SmartSDR works well with W11 Pro in my experience and if there was a general problem, there would be many complaints. If I were you I would completely uninstall DAX. This will not affect SmartSDR or its settings. The operation should clear DAX devices and any stuck information files within W11 thus creating a clean canvass for a reinstall of DAX.

The procedure is outlined by Flex here
