    M-HDSET

Load the FHM-3 mic profile for the EQ settings.

Make sure both bias and +20 dB boost are on in the Phone menu on Maestro. Use a mic gain of about 54 and make sure DAX TX is not enabled. MOX on Maestro or the Maestro PTT in.

The RS55SL uses the same mic element as the RS M20.
You might wish to start with either the radiosport DX M20 or the radiosport WIDE M20 Mic profiles.

Use M-HDST for Mic Selection (after selecting the Mic Profile)   and connect an external PTT thumb-switch or footswitch to the PTT input line on the Maestro.

Hi James, I found these two videos by Ken to be invaluable in adjusting my microphones. Since using Ken's technique, I have gotten nothing but excellent audio reports using my 6400 with a Heil HM-12 (dynamic mic), a Yamaha CM-500 headset (electret mic) and even the built-in mic on my laptop. Each one has a very different TX Equalizer setting. I gave each of my mic profiles a new name (not the name given by Flex) so that I don't overwrite them when I upgrade SmartSDR.
