Can't Receive on FT8 WSJT-X

Hi,

I have been away from my Flex radio since February. I used to work FT8 daily; however, now I can 't get FT8 to Decode. I checked DAX on the radio Panel and set to DAX 2. I checked the DAX short cut, and the audio is streaming on DAX B. I also checked the sound card setting, it appears to be correct. When I switch to DAX 1, I receive decodes. What am I missing? if you are receiving decodes when slice is set to DAX1 then the issue is in WSJT-X settings, change receive audio from DAX1 to DAX2.
Both WSJT-X and slice DAX channel need to match.

Hi Reggie, You are all set to receive on DAX channel 1. If you want to decode on slice B, change the slice B DAX Channel to 1.

If you set the DAX channel to 2, you also need to change the WSJT-X soundcard input to DAX channel 2.

Was there some reason that you don't want to use channel 1?

DAX 1 is set to Channel A. I normally use Slice B for FT8, and It is assigned to DAX2 for Slice B.

Hi Reggie, so you have a couple of choices. Either just change slice B to DAX 1, or leave slice B on DAX2 and change the WSJT-X soundcard audio input parameter to DAX 2.

Is your PC clock time within 2 seconds of exact? check at time.is or time.gov with your browser.

If the PC is Windows, install Meinberg ntp (free), and always be in time sync.

You will stop decoding FT8 if you settings are wrong on the WSJT Waterfall view.

Have a look at that screen in WSJT. Check the top scale and make sure that the scale goes from 100hz to 3000 hz.
