No RX Audio On PC

I own a Flex 6400M with SmartSDR v3.7.4 firmware. Whenever I launch the SmartSDR application on my PC, there is no RX audio on either the PC or the radio. This issue seems to have started after upgrading to v3.7.4. At present, to resolve the issue, I have to close and then reopen my RX Slice. I wonder if anyone else has encountered this problem or knows of a solution.

Can you post a screenshot of SmartSDR?

Also, probably not related, you should upgrade to 3.8.20 to get all of the bug fixes and even some new functionality (squelch control).

OK, I just upgraded to 3.8.20 and still have the same problem. Everything looks normal to me, but there is no sound until I close and reopen the slice. I've included a screenshot below.

That looks ok, but check the slider in the VFO flag and make sure that isn't set to Zero.

Next, you want make sure you PC isn't muted and your speakers are your default sound device.

Your audio is turned all the way down. Turn it up and you should be OK. I also see that you have your audio panned all the way left. That is OK if that is what you want, otherwise, you may want to center it.

I see that you have PC Audio selected (upper right hand of SmartSDR). This will route the audio through your computer speakers. If you want to use the powered speakers plugged into the back of your radio, un-select PC Audio.

Thanks, guys. I just caught that when you brought it up. I can recreate it by exiting the application and restarting it. What is odd is that if I close the slice and reopen it, the volume controls are good. I would think the default volumes should work when I start SmartSDR.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
